SpeedWakeup is a speedometer app that monitors your vehicle speed and alerts you when surpassing the speed limit to help you comply with road regulations
Features:
- View current speed (km/h or mph)
- Beep at chosen speed (or set limit to zero if no alarm is desired)
- [new] Post your top speed on Facebook
- Background color changes as you approach the speed limit or exceed it
- Reminder to set app to OFF if no movement detected for a while to save battery power
The calculated speed is dependent on the device GPS accuracy
Important: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.

Doesnt Know the Speed Limit
This app will indeed tell you when you exceed the speed limit you set, however it doesnt automatically determine the speed limit of the road you are driving on. The description is a little misleading and it implies that it will notify you when you are exceeding the posted speed limit. Still a decent app, it just doesnt do what I wanted it for.

Speedwakeup
App itself needs to wake up. Almost aways shows speed well below or well above actual speed. Better to get a gps with speed indicator!

This is absolutely perfect for what I need I have the new green driver monitoring my driving habits and this app allows me to not break any rules and makes an alarm go off before I get flagged for speeding! GREAT JOB!!

Doesnt work
Speed is WAY off if it registers at all, and the rollers to select alarms are blank.
